Conversation Prompt Cards

How to use this resource

1. Open/download the conversation prompts. You have the option to use these prompts digitally or print them out. If you choose to print them, you can place the cards on your desk.
2. Incorporate these prompts into your interactions with your working learner(s) during meetings, such as a 1:1 session or staff meetings. These prompts are designed to help you initiate intentional conversations around the NACE career competencies that employers value in post-graduates.
3. When you use the prompts, focus on asking open-ended questions that encourage your working learner(s) to share their thoughts and experiences related to these competencies. This will provide them the chance to reflect on their skills and grow in certain areas.
4. Listen actively to their responses and provide guidance as needed. Offer insights, examples, or feedback to help them better understand how these competencies relate to their future careers.
